Deadly Kinder Eggs

As you probably already know, Kinder Chocolate Eggs are illegal in the US of A and their import is prohibited. The main reason for the ban is a food and drugs act from the early 1900s that says a non-edible object can’t be fully encased in an edible one.

But we know the real reason is that the eggs are way more dangerous than fully automatic rifles with armor-piercing rounds. The benefits of chocolate and cocoa are negated by the sugar and cholesterol in it and one can easily overdose on the eggs.

And when fired through a railgun, the small toys can be a lot more lethal than bullets. Keep your kids safe. Buy them that shotgun or assault rifle they’ve always wanted.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., has something deliciously unique. A beautiful replica of the Smithsonian Institution castle that you can eat.

Pastry chef Charles Froke has recreated this famous landmark entirely in gingerbread cake with sugar in place of the window glass and chocolate for the trees.

Froke used a 100 pounds of gingerbread dough, 80 pounds of icing, 20 pounds of sugar, and five pounds of chocolate. Can I get a piece of it while the cake is still edible?

Off course, they’re not real, but someone should definitely make one that is. Could be a wonderful project for helping feed starving kids. Build something that the kids can eat and use the publicity to sponsor it. via

Quickly, what’s the weirdest ice cream flavor you’ve ever tasted? I can’t remember mine, but it definitely wasn’t anywhere close to this, the Jalapeño flavored ice cream.

From the description, it doesn’t seem as bad as it sounds. Tastes like any other sweet ice cream, but with a slight tangy jalapeno taste that follows. Comes in the shape of a mix that you can prepare.

I wonder if you can make this without the mix, just by putting a little bit of Tabasco sauce in normal vanilla ice cream. Anybody care to try?

Chocolate Jeep licking contest

Lick a Jeep faster than your opponents and go on to win a Jeep Liberty. That’s what happened at a recent contest where Anne Gemkow from Chicago won after a grueling go at grill-licking (that’s one tasty tongue-twister).

Seven Jeep products were covered with delicious-looking chocolate for the event. Two finalists then competed in finding the keys to the prize with Anne winning. She must be quite sick of chocolate by the end.
