Insect macro photography

Insect macro photography

May 25, 2010

This is an extreme closeup of what appears to be a praying mantis covered in dew drops and is an amazing example of macro photography.

It gives the impression that the insect is using the water drops as lenses for some of its thousands of eyes.

You can find many more incredible macro photos of various insects on the Designzzz blog.

These beautiful shots were likely captured by a pretty high-quality macro lens. Makes me want to splurge on one.
