Sylvester Stallone’s broken neck

It seems that 63-year old Stallone isn’t as invulnerable as we once thought he was. He broke his neck during the filming of the upcoming action-packed movie The Expendables in a vicious fight with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.

However, instead of rolling over dead, like most of us would, the former star of the Rocky and Rambo franchises was back in action after a metal plate was inserted in his neck.

The Expendables is likely to contain pretty much every major action star you can name from the last couple of decades. Everyone from Jason Statham, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and even Schwarzenegger is getting a piece of the action.

Guess they didn’t leave anyone out this time. Well, except Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Man, those guys are pissed.

iPhone doormat

An iPhone, slide-to-unlock, doormat. How awesome is that? Off course, would be so much cooler if you really could just slide it with your foot and enter a pass-key to enter the house.

Whether you love or hate the iPhone, this mat is still cooler than a silly Jump to conclusions mat.

Bowling pin lamp

How many table lamps have you broken by knocking them down? This bowling pin lamp is one that requires being knocked down to function.

Keep it upright to have it lit and when you’re done, just knock it over and it’ll switch off. Cool little thing.

Personally, I think it should be the other way around. Instead of fumbling for the fallen bowling pin in the dark, you hit the standing pin for light and turn it upright when you’re done.

Scary contact lenses

If you have a couple hundreds bucks to splurge on something, make it these novelty contact lenses.

You can have eyes matching everything from an Ebola-victim to a big cat, or even a smiley-face. Would be a really cool thing to wear to parties, especially on Halloween.

I wonder if it hinders normal eyesight in any way. And does prolonged use cause any damage (either to the wearer or the spooked victims)?
