Software calculators were one of the earliest utilities that shipped with virtually all operating systems, even back in the days of Windows 3.1. Yet clunky old physical calculators are still preferred by most regular users, the same way that most avid readers still prefer printed books to digital ones.
The OS calculator capitalizes on this trend and is a novel idea that turns the software application into a physical gadget.
The two versions mimic, or parody as the designer calls it, the default themes of Windows XP and Mac OSX.
Both of the calculators look extremely cool and would also be a great help in promoting the respective operating systems, if Apple or Microsoft ever took them seriously.
