You must have heard of pickpockets and may even have fallen prey to them, but you’d love to be the victim of these latest criminals from London.
Putpockets, as they’re being called, are sneaking money in instead of out of your pockets. It’s a clever new initiative to help counter the hard times that people are going through as a result of the economic crisis.
But unknowingly having a stranger slip their fingers in my pockets isn’t a comforting thought, even if it was for my benefit. And what’s to stop actual pickpockets using this campaign as an excuse if they get caught?
