This huge rat, weighing six pounds and carrying a foot-long tail, was caught in southern China by Mr.Xian (probably the dude in the picture).

Strangely, the huge rat appeared in a street and became surrounded by a crowd of people. That’s when Mr.Xian realized that this may be an important find and bravely grabbed it.

With inch-long teeth, the rat must be pretty dangerous. Then again, if it could be picked up like this, it must be a gentle giant. Just don’t expect to trap it with a normal mouse trap.

I shudder to think how big the cats in Fujian must be.
