A while back, we wrote about a classic Bugatti Atalante that was discovered in the garage of the aptly named, Dr Harold Carr after his death.
One of only 17 ever built, the Bugatti had been hidden in the garage for 48 years and since the doctor didn’t have any offspring of his own, it was now in the hands of his nephews and nieces.
The Type 57S Atalante, has now been sold at an auction in Paris. A European collector bought the legendary car for 3.4 million euros ($4.4 million) which was the original estimate of its worth.
Lesson: If you happen to have a rich uncle, be nice and do what you must to prevent him from having kids.
